Snow crystals
The quilting group started back this morning and it coincided with yet another wintry morning following fresh snow during the night. The only difference today was that the light was better and the sky was blue between the clouds. I sat all morning and watched as mist rose up to cover the hills, then dispersed to reveal sun on the snowy crests, then descended again. Once home I grabbed a bite to eat as i changed into my snow gear and took off with the dogs . They were as anxious as I was to get out and we had a wonderful walk during which time the temperature rose from 0' to 3'. I took loads of photos and have put links to some below. This shot was taken from underneath a branch of a young Scots pine and shows the snow crystals beginning to melt around the needles and if you look at it in large you will see the clear ice at the top of the snowball.
For those of you who enjoy Bruce blips please specifically look at Snow boots.
