An incredibly early start to get our early flight to Seville for an early celebration for mums 80th. (As I’m back blipping, I forgot to mention yesterday that once we got back to Rebecca’s we handed mum a special card where she had to scratch off the globe on the front of the card to reveal where we were going).

I had booked a taxi to pick us up and we were given a little cloth bag with 4 bottles of water, some mini chocolates and a map of the city as a welcome gift. There was also a marathon taking place so our lovely driver said he would get us as close to the hotel and help guide us and help with our cases. After a bit of a walk we arrived at the hotel. Only I realised quite quickly it wasn’t our hotel. We had booked a hotel in the H10 chain but I hadn’t realised there was more than one of them in the city. Completely my fault when I booked but our lovely driver was only too happy to take us to the correct one and he told us it was a better hotel too.

We booked in, dropped our bags off and went for a wander as our rooms wouldn’t be ready until 2pm. We stopped for our first sangria opposite the cathedral where the streets are lined with many orange trees (in extra).

Once back at the hotel, our room wasn’t yet ready. Mum and dad went to their room for a much needed rest and we waited in reception until ours was ready.

Quite a few restaurants don’t open until 8pm (when the city is really buzzing) but we found one and had a delicious paella.

Extra some snaps from our stroll around.
