Transition
It seems like just yesterday that I was holding the just out of the packet little 4lb 4 oz bundle of joy that was daughter number 1 and now she is getting ready to go to school after the summer. Where does time go? The world is such a different place than when I was a child. There was no transition, you were dropped off at the school gate and left to get on with it. Now, apparently, you go through a transition. Daughter's nursery happens to be in the same school which she will attend so I think she will transition just fine.
I met up with two friends, one of my fellow early exercise class participants and one of my instructors, for an early morning run this morning. It was really good to run with new people. They are both training for a marathon so it will be good to tag along with them and try and up my mileage. I would like to do a marathon one day but as I have only been running for a year and a half, I do not think that either my body or my mind are ready for such an immense physical and mental challenge. I have set myself the goal of running a marathon next year. I am not really a city person so I am thinking more along the lines of something in the Lake District or perhaps something up North. The Loch Ness marathon sounds quite good and as it is late on in the year, it would give me ample opportunity to prepare myself
