Coelleira OB 93

A dull morning, but a sunny day out at sea.  The odd shower, and flat calm all day.

A quiet morning puttering around the house, and some walkies with Sammy.  Headed out on the boat in the afternoon, and been out at sea for 7 odd hours.  Plenty of puffins, gannets etc, saw 4 different pods of neesicks (harbour porpoise), and a pod of orcas came by the boat too.  Poor Sammy didn't think much of the trip, sadly we never got ashore anywhere, so that meant no walkies, and no rabbits!  Back in at 8pm, followed by a chip supper.  Mam popped along for a cuppa this evening. 

The mission today was to go look at a ship that wrecked last weekend, the Coelleira OB 93.  She is an Oban registered fishing boat, but crewed by Spanish or French men.  Not sure how she ran aground, must have been neglect, and this skerries are just above the water and no more.  Thankfully no lives lost, all 15 men were rescued.   Sadly deaths have been here before, with various boats wrecking here.  I've never been on the skerries, and a first time visit here, but too much lift to get ashore.  I don't think the Coelleira will move again, unless sinking deeper.  Taken at the Da Clubb, Ve Skerries.
