Rothbury Street Fair
We stayed up late to watch the EU results come in. As predicted Brexit party was the largest single party. (Though it appears to be a limited company, not a party), but the pro-EU parties, SNP, LibDem and Green got more votes when added together. Labour and Tories got a pasting. And Corbyn still isn’t listening.
After the late night I wasn’t happy when I woke at 4.30 am with a little face right beside me. Nathaniel had a bad dream. Apparently the teachers at Hogwarts we’re giving him such hard spells to do that he failed and the Deatheaters or some such had been chasing him. He wriggled about till 6.30 when Mr C gave him the IPad and told him to take it to his own bed.
Their mum did her marking while we took them to the street fair. £5 each go. This is a bubble they roll about in on top of water. They also had a go on a high jumping swing thing and bumper cars. The look round the fire engine was free. They spent some pocket money in the sweet shop and reckoned it was better value than stuff for sale at the fair, though we did buy some olives for their hard working mum.
I seem to hurt my back. I think it is with limping due to the arthritic foot.
Bedtime soon for them - and a large glass of wine for us.
