Humpback Whale Carcass

A misty and windy morning.  It cleared into a sunny and warm afternoon.  The mist returned this evening.

Another day working on the museum desk.  It's been a fairly quiet day, but I kept busy with photos, and also a quick setup for tomorrow.  Niece Elise is staying over this weekend, and we've been down to mam's, fed the cat and watered her flowers.  Elise came to the peat hill with me tonight, and walked Sammy.  Stage one, phase one complete at the peat bank.  A movie or two now tonight.

On our way back from work, me and Elise headed for a walk out along the banks.  We heard there was a whale carcass washed up, and went for a look.  Poor thing must have passed away a long time ago, and now will make great feed for all sorts of sea animals.  A 40 foot humpback whale, and to think I saw another one swimming just a few days ago.  Taken at the east side if the Taing, east isle Burra.
