Tushkar in da Mist

A lot of rain last night, but dry today.  A dull and breezy morning, brighter in the afternoon, but the mist came down by teatime.

Another day working on the museum desk.  There was steady flow of visitors, but I have spent the day scanning negatives, from the Shetland Amenity Trust collection.  Walkies with Sammy after tea, and then headed to the peat hill.  Feet up by the fire now.

Tonight's efforts have paid off, and I can see the finish line, although a few days away from that yet!  I've had a rethink about peat bank, and a new plan is in place.  My bank is a bit scruffy, but it will tidy, and next year start with a clean slate.  It was misty up the hill, and as darkness started creeping in, it felt the movie, American Werewolf in London!! Here's my tushkar for cutting the peat.  It originally belonged to my uncle Bertie.  Taken at the Hill of Fitch, Tingwall.
