Congleton Cloud
Today we faced the M6, drove to Congleton in Cheshire to visit middle son, DiL, Olivia and Isabella as its half term.
Turns out Isabella was still in nursery, and had asked Mummy if she could stay for the whole day as she loves it so much, so we haven't seen her....but thats ok as we will see them again on Friday.
Once we arrived, we waiting whilst Olivia had her hair washed after her swimming lesson that we asked her where she wanted to go for lunch......"the pub for fish & chips" was her reply ;-) So that was what we did and she ate all her fish and most of her chips, such a changed child from when she was a toddler, where food is concerned :-) We all enjoyed our choices.
Afterwards we drove part way up towards "The Cloud", parked up, changed our footwear and started up towards the top. Its about a 40 minute steady climb to the top, Olivia was brilliant, todays shot is Olivia on the way up to the top. Even hubs knee held out. Just a pity about the weater, which really closed in, and then the rain started!!! We were soaked by the time we reached the top, and the fantastic views we had heard all avout, were pretty none existant, as you can see from the extra. The walk down was pretty straightforward......back at the car, wet coats and footwear off, we headed home for a cuppa. Olivia fell asleep, not surprising really!
We left for home around 4.15, long slow crawl, got home just after 6 :-/. A quick omlette for me before heading off to my weigh in....another 2lb gone. I stayed for the exercise class afterwards, got home 9.30. Think I might be a bit stiff tomorrow, sooo many squats!!!!
