Warm but not waterproof

A damp and chilly 4 degrees when I went out for a walk.  I thought we were in for some sunshine today but no such luck. The rain held off until I got back in the car to drive home though. We're in for a few stormy days. 
This sweater displayed at The Wardrobe caught my eye. I'm sure it would be cozy warm but something waterproof would be much more practical in this weather. That's me, practical.  :)
Extras: 
Not a pretty sight at the end of the dock, but better collected in the bucket than littering the ground.
The bridge that has recently been completed - at least I think it has because I saw a truck driving over it this morning. It's taken a long time to complete this, and I can't imagine having the money to build it. We've watched the process with interest and I've been wanting to get a photo of it. I'd like to walk down the driveway to get the whole thing in a shot but I don't want to trespass.
