Snoring sea lion cub
Bad nights sleep last night, as the boat was moving all night. There was something that creaked in the cabin and it took me a while to realise the vibrating sound was cause by the bathroom door not being fully closed. Still first thing after breakfast was a trip to North Seymour Island. Our dive guide is still prattling on about inane information so we didn’t get to see as much as we could have. We saw land iguanas, small iguanas, frigate birds with their red throats inflated to attract mates, baby frigate birds, sea lions and some sea lion cubs, along with the obligatory blue footed booby. Great start to the day. Back to the boat for our first proper dive. Viz wasn’t great and I forgot to put the flash on the camera so the strobes didn’t work. Still saw lots of the usual tropical fish. Also a turtle and a large school of barracuda. Saw a shark of some description swimming off the reef. The rest of the day was spent making our way to Darwin Island as it’s a 20 hour crossing.
