Isla Baltra
Not much of a lie in as we needed to get to the airport early to sort out an extra bag for the Galapagos flight. We were met at the airport by a rep of the dive company and she was a welcome sight. She helped sort out our extra bag and got us through the Galapagos additional checks. Flights were OK but we managed to get at the end of the queue for immigration, which resulted in over an hours wait. Arrived at the boat with no problems and sorted out a couple of issues with the cabin. Dive guide is a bit up his own ass and talks far too much about things that aren’t relevant. First dive was at Isla Baltra. A 6m dive. J had to get more weight to get down and by the time we got under the water the rest, including the dive guide, had buggered off. Had a nice pootle around being followed by 4 puffer fish. Didn’t see anything else. An emergency drill after we all got on board and another talking to from the dive guide before dinner. One of the main people from the boat owners came on board to do a check while we were sorting out cameras, seemed nice as he got of round of beers in. Cameras all sorted I think and early to bed as the boat set sail for North Seymour Island.
