Chautauqua Park, Colorado

Another cool outing today, just a stone's throw from Boulder, to Chautauqua park, which features the 'flatirons'.  We did a five-mile walk about half-way up to the peak (see extra) before finding out the trail to the very top was closed.  Nevertheless, it was beautiful, through meadows first, then winding trails in the forest. A bit more strenuous than our previous hike (according to my wrist device, we went up the equivalent of 19 floors) but manageable. 

I've added a 3rd extra with me and hubby as today, we celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary (a fact that only became apparently as FB offered up its timeline 'memory') ;)
