Shadow ball

I was on my way to photograph a swim meet at a nearby pool but got there just as it wrapped up. That business about being a night owl doesn't work out so well for early morning sports... 

But I did come across these guys shooting hoops who agreed to a few shots (ha ha...), while hubby looked on, no doubt mourning his days on the court ;)

Nine holes of golf in the afternoon to finish up what turned out to be an amazingly beautiful day in D.C.

oh, last but not least: our new house was apparently nominated for some contest our city runs for "renovations or new constructions contributing to the beautification of the city"!  That's pretty flattering :)))
