Edinburgh Quay

Monday, after 8 days, 439.4km, 273miles, of cycling, a rest day. I don't get up too early.

I spend the morning dealing with washing, and cleaning my bike of all the muck from Saturday (not at the same time)

In the afternoon, I head down to Morningside to do some shopping, then get the bus to Lothian Rd,and visit a bikeshop to get some bar tape for the bike used over the weekend.

I then walk along the canal. The blip shows Edinburgh Quay and the Leamington Lift Bridge. The area is slowly being redeveloped.

It doesn't take long, as you head west, to get in to greener areas, Extra 1. At Grays Loan, I get the bus back to Tollcross, visit some charity shops, then head to Morningside for coffee and cake.

Then I head home.
