Finally!

I have been waiting to see if this tree peony was going to flower this year, and finally it has!  I think it is a species called Rockii. It is exposed to all the sea spray and wild winds, but usually manages to produce at least one flower a year, and it is always a beauty. It has to be the blip today as it might be gone by tomorrow - it's pretty breezy just now, but the extra illustrates the day.

And also finally, I seem to have reached a blip milestone!  It has taken since September 2007 to get here, but has been well worth it.  The discipline of taking an almost daily photo and posting it has become a big part of my life.  

Blip started as a way I record my life, instead of a diary, and has become so much more.  I have made real friends, there are people I have followed over the years whom I have met and some I will  probably never meet.  We have seen each others' lives change, and been there for each other in good times and bad. It is a great community, fun, interesting and supportive, the things I have learnt, the places I have seen, it is fascinating.  I am so glad it is still going strong.  Here's to the years to come!
