Flash, bang wallop

A sunny day. I went to explore and photograph another LNR on the other side of the City again today. I ended up walking much further than I'd intended thanks to a series of minor disasters. The woodlands in question were much bigger than I'd anticipated and having made a late start and then got lost, I was concerned that at one point my best hope was to be found by a party of long-tailed tits and be raised as one of their own. In the event, I made it out and home safely and even managed one or too nice images - in the same vein as yesterday's blip. This oyster mushroom, however, presented a challenge as it was quite high up and located on the shady side of the tree. In the end, my only hope was to use flash - something I very seldom do outdoors. but quite pleased with the results.
