Autumn at Crabtree Ponds

Another day, another Local Nature Reserve. Today, it was for a Fungus Foray rather than a photography session, but of course, there is quite a lot of overlap. I did get a few fungi shots - this one nearly made the cut, but in the end, I chose this shot of the big pond , shooting straight down with my compact. I liked the way the sycamore leaves, as well as being in their Autumn finery, were at different stages of sinking into the pond, with one still to break the surface.
Another highlight today was Mr B's return after a lengthy absence. So lovely to see him again.
