Day 28 Flowers


Despite spending the late morning and afternoon at the allotment, there were no flowers there to be found.    Dead heads, flopped grass, birdies, trees, no leaves. 

So we drove through the town, and I caught sight of a window box of newly bloomed daffodils, and on the way back to snap them,  I spotted this window.   This is Kirsty's Flower shop.  Always very pretty, but not in the conventional floristy shop.   Lovely woods, and steels, and deep greens.

Next door, The Gift Horse, was equally beautifully decked out in flowers too - a lovely set of paper flowers. See my extra for how pretty. 


We spent the morning and afternoon setting up a anti-bird cage around our leeks, and onions.  There were poles, and netting, and loads of  cable ties.  I was ever so proud of myself i fastened, and fastened and unfastened. My silly fingers that don't work properly a lot of the time managed beautifully, even despite the cold.   See my other extra to see how clever we were. 

And then we came home and had a lovely dinner.  Roast everything.
