First day of Prashant's "sessions" today. He's not calling this week a "workshop," "classes," or, god forbid, an "intensive." He has his reasons. The day began with a wonderful 2.5 hour talk about everything from what we do when we chant the invocation (the "so-called prayer," he said, is really a way to remember), how OM works on us, and how Mr. Iyengar's practice was an "exalted network." 

When the session ended, the very full hall emptied out, but it was only 11:00.  I asked Abhi if the hall was still open till 12 for practice, and she said it was. For the first few minutes I couldn't believe that I was the only one there, but it was true. I practiced alone for 45 minutes and just had to take this photo to prove it.

At the end of my practice I rolled over and looked up at a photo of Mr. Iyengar looking directly forward, into the room, seemingly at me. It was delightful.
