Day Six - Zzz & Waffling on

I finally got round to framing this charming little print.  It's only 6" square (or 15cm in "new money") and I won it on a charity auction for the local Cats Protection League.  I managed to find a great seller on eBay and Amazon - the same framing company, but they seemed to offer more sizes on eBay - so I bought the frame from there as I wanted a second larger frame too.  So many frames these days are just MDF, but I wanted proper wood and this modern but "aged" style appeals to me.  Sorry I'm waffling...

Breakfast today was a cheeky waffle - made using the waffle maker my Mum cleared out and donated in my direction when she moved.  It was just a small batch of batter for me today, but made with spelt & ground almonds.  Last week I tried making waffles with oats (ground to flour) and ground almonds...but that wasn't so good and actually seemed a bit gritty.  Hey ho, practice makes perfect, eh?

Thought for the day today is actually a snippet taken from the Dr Seuss Sleep Book, which I thought might also appeal to Kendallishere (see: https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2400465871232305912)

"Sleepwalking too are the curious Crandalls
Who sleepwalk on hills with assorted-sized candles

The Crandalls walk nightly in slumbering peace
In spite of slight burns from the hot dripping grease
The Crandalls wear candles because they walk far
And if they wake up
Want to see where they are."  (Dr Seuss)
