Wreath workshop
We were a bit concerned about the weather forecast for today, so were pleasantly surprised to wake up to no additional snow, as I was taking a drive over the border into Yorkshire to meet up with the lovely Lupes, aka LoveLupins17.
The drive was fine, a few flurries and a bit of fog over the tops but nothing to worry about. We met at Salts Mill for a christmassy catch up over a cuppa and a slice of cake ;-)
Then it was off to Eldwick for our Christmas Wreath workshop. There was about 8-10 of us I think, we all had the same materials, and were shown step by step how to make our wreaths from scratch. Never again will I complain about the cost.......so much work goes into making one, its time consuming too!
Here you can see Lupes hard at work with her masterpiece. (you can see our finished efforts in extras :-) Whilst we were hard at work, in our christmas jumpers, I might add, with the air smelling of pine and eucalyptus, it only started to snow, then a guy popped his head round the door, asking if it was OK to put the Christmas lights up outside the Hall......we had christmas songs playing and we had tea and a mince pie, what could be more festive eh!!!!
The ladies who ran the workshop were great, which included Lupes daughter Amelia, they were very patient and helpful, and took a couple of good photos for us ;-))
The drive back in the dark was ok too, more flurries....-1degree over the tops, but sounds like its going to get much colder post 9pm tonight :-/
Take care out there one and all
