Action at the Point
The forecast was good for this morning and the sun was shining so Mike dropped me at the Point and David walked down. The dolphins were very active, quite a few breaches which were great to see accompanied by lots of ohhs, ahhs and wows. It really is incredible how they can leap so high in the sky. Lots of people around but I managed to get a good spot and I got a few ok shots.
It was beautiful, flat sea, blue skies with fluffy clouds and a clean sandy beach. A nice surprise was an Arctic skua attacking a smaller gull type bird which I did nt get a proper view.
A few butterflies around, including a red admiral, small whites and a few peacocks. They seem to eat the salt from the sand.
We walked back along the beach and Mike picked us up from the Lighthouse, it was really hot but cooled down now.
