Red Admiral
A beautiful day and it was even hot so a day spent mainly outside with a few breaks inside to cool off.
A few butterflies around including two red admirals that were enjoying the buddleia. The sunlight was really lighting up the colours in this ones wings.
We did intend to go for a walk tonight but when we reached Rosemarkie beach it was in the shade so we thought we'd head for Cromarty only to be stopped by a queue of traffic behind a slow moving herd of cows so plan C head up towards Eathie and look at the vew from the top of the Learnie bike track. Everything has shot up so much I could only just see over the top of the undergrowth so not possible for a decent photo. So back down the hill to Balblair the ship with the lips was heading out from Invergordon. The tide was out for still a few waders, geese and lapwing.
Just waiting for Richard to come home from his trip to France, should be back about 10.
