Fledgling siblings

I'm pleased to report that the new bird feeding arrangements are going well so far and, as a result, I now know that the resident blue tits have fledged! They love the peanut and suet food and have been busily working their way through it. If the pigeons have been tempted, I haven't seen them, although solitary jackdaws and magpies have paid the odd visit. I was looking out of the window earlier and a greater spotted woodpecker briefly landed on the feeding station. At this point I had a rethink about only making peanuts available via the squirrel-proof feeder (which I suspect is also woodpecker-proof) so I have now added a non-squirrel-proof peanut feeder and plan to see off the pigeons if they show any interest. Fingers crossed the woodpecker returns...
