Summer Lovin!

I feel so lucky to live by the sea, it's been a scorcher today - 27 degrees!

My friend Chloe has finally finished her chemo and radiotherapy for breast cancer, so we arranged to meet for lunch to celebrate, and I said I would drive over to Worthing where she lives.

As Friday is one of my usual swimming days, I decided I'd go to David Lloyd in Worthing for a swim in the outdoor pool first. However, when I got there the outdoor pool was closed for repair! It's the second time I've been there and it's been closed which is disappointing, but at least I didn't drive there specially this time. Anyway, I swam indoors, went in the jacuzzi and the steam room.

I picked Chloe up at 12.15pm and drove to the beach at Goring-by-Sea, and then walked along the beach to the Bluebird Cafe in Ferring. It was a lovely walk, a great cafe, fantastic food and as you can see, the sea was almost turquoise in colour!

Tonight, Alan and I went down to our beach for an hour and we briefly met our friends Sandra and Lu with baby Nieve and the dogs. There were so many people there and lots of kids in the sea - If the tide hadn't been out, I may have gone in myself!
