Blue skies & blue lips

Slept well agsin, and woke up to yet another gloriously blue skied day!!

After breakfast a quick walk for the paper and a walk back, the longer route.

Then it was off to daughters house to pick up Emily, who is off school today, as her school is being used as a polling station.

Lunch first, Grandad and Emilys choice, Macdonalds.....I dont mind it, once in a blue moon. They both had desserts too!!!

Then back in the car and a quick drive to a car park beside the canal...... we had a lovely walk, slong the canal bank, got blown along once or twice! Emily was looking for interesting stones, especially flint, as they are learning about this at school. We took the path that lead to Penningtn Flash, the park and of course the ice cream van! After half an hour on the swings, Emily choose a Bubblegum icelolly......you can see the result in todays blip, whilst she was laughing with Grandy :-))

We had to drop her back home in time for her swimming lesson before teatime. She was also telling us enthusiastically about her guitar lessons. She has recently learned "smoke on the water" by Deep Purple :-0 apparently, and is now on to so ething by Oasis !!

We got back home, did some watering in the garden and greenhouse, a quick cuppa, then back out to the local polling station to vote in our mayoral election.

Hub is just making us a lighht tea, some ham, cheese and biscuits, before we get ready for our quizzing this evening. Our neighbours are not available tonight, so we may hook up with our other friends......who knows!!!

In other news, my toe is not quite so black, more greeny now, much to Emilys horror ;-)
Its also my sis in laws birthday today.......Happy Birthday Ei xx
