A day of culture

We had a great day today. We had a steady start- we were going to run but didnt get round to it. She had a ballet photo session this morning. There was a local studio asking for dancers for free sessions so we booked her in. I thought it would be nice for her to have the experience of a studio session with a photographer that wasn't mama. She did amazingly. She danced beautifully and really pushed herself. They did a couple of outfits, a few backdrops, leaps, "freeze frames" from her ballet, splits poses, headshots. She loved it.

We got home and gave her some lunch before we went out to pick up some friends. We had arranged for a big group of us from church to go to a Narnia trial in the city. It was cheap to go so we hadn't exactly got high expectations. Very wrongly. It was absolutely brilliant from the moment you walked through the wardrobe of fur coats. There was a battlefield, mr tumnus' house, the white witch's sleigh, a tree slide, dressed up characters AND the Cair Paravel throne room. It was all so very well done.

After Narnia we drove into the city to see the Lego Daffodils that had appeared by surprise on Monday. We also went to show the kids the Weeping Window of ceramic poppies at the maritime museum.

A day of brilliant City of Culture events. However at the end of the day we found a few suspicious looking spots ...... I think the pox are arriving
