Stranded

I shovelled the sidewalk and it was really icy under the new layer of snow.  I decided to take the nifty fifty on a walk up the road.  It was a bit of a slippery slog.  Our neighbour parked her car on the side of the road, as she usually does when snow is forecast.  She won't be going anywhere though.  I bet there's a layer of ice on the windshield under that snow.  Our road is a mess, and if the snowplow does come today, it will make it even harder for her to get through the icy snow that will be deposited by her car.  It's sleeting just now, and a slight drop in temperature will turn it to snow.  More forecast in the next couple of days.
I used a preset in Lightroom for this shot - first time I have and I liked the way it brought out the detail in the snow.  Such flat light is making it challenging to get decent shots.
Extras:  I spotted our basketball hoop through the trees from the road.  Will be awhile before I'll be shooting hoops!  The other one is the snow on a rock and in the trees beside the driveway.
