Accumulation

The snow just keeps on coming.  We woke up to an accumulation of about 18 cm and it stopped snowing for awhile.  We shovelled what needed to be shovelled, wet heavy snow.  A couple of neighbours drove down the road, and although it was plowed yesterday afternoon, it's like it wasn't plowed at all.   G put the chains on in case we absolutely had to go out, but unless there's some kind of emergency, we won't be going anywhere.  It's been snowing heavily again for a few hours and there's no sign that it's going to stop.  Time to hunker down and be thankful for the wood stove!
The power went off just before 7:00 last night and was out for almost 16 hours.  I thought of all those people in New Brunswick who've been without power and heat for days because of an ice storm.  People in other parts of this province have had even more snow than us, and we keep hearing about all the power outages and how bad the roads are.  We've got nothing to complain about.
