Disjointed

After a process of a year to get to the stage of having an ultrasound and a steroid injection in my foot, I turned up in a strangely quiet x-ray department. There were only 3 others there - for the whole x-ray, ultrasound. CT and MRI area. I suspect they are winding down appointments till the next financial year starts in April.

The doctor did the ultrasound (which the Orthopaedic consultant has requested, so that the injection could be put in the right place.).

He said he didn't think it worthwhile doing the injection as though the arthritis in my foot was severe, there was little inflammation, which is what the steroid would help. However he said it was my choice. After ascertaining that there was no other treatment available (short of cutting off my foot i assume) I decided to go ahead. After all, it was a last resort, I'd waited a year for the chance of some relief, and the consultant had suggested it was worth a try.

I collected some placards for the demo tomorrow. I hope my foot is up to marching again.
