In da Scrapstore

It's been another windy day, although it did ease in the evening, but windy again tonight.  It's been cloudy and overcast all day too.

Another day on the museum desk, and another busy day too.  Plenty of visitors to the Isles arrived today, and they sure kept me busy.  We have also been busy setting up for a week of events, Follow the Vikings, and also a family fun day on tomorrow.  I also had a orders to work with too.  I've decided to get underway with the big spring cleaning, starting in the bedroom, every nook and cranny dusted and washed.  Now a quiet night with the telly, and a few walkies with Sammy.

Lunchtime I headed out for a walk, and headed north.  I popped by the Shetland Scrapstore, always a great place for a hock about.  People donate unwanted goods, and they restore and clean up.  The staff are mainly adults with learning difficulties, and give them a great opportunity to get some work, but also they have helpers, such as my friend Adrian Middleton, working behind the counter.  Taken at Holmsgarth, Lerwick.
