Murmuration

I get to work and play in some spectacular places, I get to see some very special sights - but this evening I wandered up the lane where we live and saw a true wonder of nature right above my back yard.

As I got closer and closer to my chosen viewing spot I could hear and even feel the noise, the sense of an event was tangible - and then they took to the air - and, well, oh my. Words and images just don't do this justice - any waxing lyrical I try would fall far far short. If you get a chance to see a murmuration do it, cancel whatever plans you have, and go stand in a field and be awed.
