Does what it says on the tin
Jamie had a fun baking session this afternoon, fun for us as a by-product was a lot of delicious buns. The big attraction was the Cake in a Can. A ring pull can is emptied of it's contents by opening the bottom with a tin opener - peaches for supper tonight! The tin, lined with greaseproof paper is used to cook a cake, Victoria sponge mix. When cooked the cake is removed and the flat end decorated. It is then returned to the can, pretty end first. Tape up the bottom of the can, invert, pull the ring and Hey Presto! A Cake in a Can. Great fun if you are 14 ... and very tasty it was too.
