Promise of Spring to come

After some weeks of cold weather plants have mostly stood still.  There are little signs however, of brighter days ahead.  No Spring crocus in flower yet but this Anemone coronaria, raised from seed collected in Israel by a friend who live there, is poised for action.  A few warmer days will do .... but they are not forecast yet.

Jacinta and Ruth off to Birmingham today as Ruth returnd to college.  Jamie at school this afternoon ... I had the house to myself.  Still running on reduced power I was not up to gardening outside despite the decent weather.  I did write labels for the 50 packets of seed from two exchanges which have arrived recently.  A planting day tomorrow :-)
