Tropical paradise

An overnight flight to start the adventure. 11 hours in an airline seat isn't ideal but the crew were fabulous.

We arrived in Mauritius around lunchtime and were driven out to our overnight hotel.

A swim in the sea (goodness, my balance on rocky sand isn't what it was,) and then a dip in the pool (full of kids but then I'm spoilt with my outdoor pool at home)

But what a lovely way to start the adventure, with fabulous birds and flowers, stunning scenery and an island with a fascinating past. A chance to rest before we join our ship tomorrow.
