Excited and a bit nervous

Having an early evening flight doesn't usually justify driving down the day before and splashing out on a hotel. But I'm a wimp - alarmed by the snow and forecasts - and I got a rather decent deal. So here I am, rested, looking forward to the holiday, and blipping at the hotel because wifi will be intermittent and/or expensive.

I have a Gourmet Society card which I've never used, but as it gave money off last night's dinner, I went into the Indian restaurant. The food was fabulous. Scallops piri piri followed by the Goan curry, Chicken Xacuti.

I could get used to this life :-).
