Trentham Gardens
It's the birthday of one of my best friends next Tuesday and we met up at Trentham Gardens to celebrate.
With the awful ice and traffic, we nearly abandoned our plans, but luckily decided to go ahead.
The light was magnificent and we were so lucky. We avoided the snow and torrential rain and had enough time to wander right round the lake, enjoying the colours, birds, snowscenes - and the fairy sculptures.
I chose this one, against the changing bright but cloudy sky. The skilled use of dandelions clocks, spilling their metal wires into the air, seemed very special.
A lovely lunch. A splendid day
PS - the fairy trail consists of 14 fairies, in galvanised and stainless steel wire and they were constructed by local artist, Robin Wight. His daughter, Amy, was responsible for the dandelions, a new addition.
