Uptown Girl

Well this is the view downtown from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building on 34th Street.The tallest building in the distance is the new World Trade Center. Luke and I spent a long time up here, looking at the view from all sides.

We also visited Grand Central Station, a really romantic building with a blue ceiling covered with constellations of stars.

It was Luke's last day and we parted company on the subway - he bound for JFK and Edinburgh while I took the ferry to Staten Island. I'm staying at an amazing B&B for the next three nights, run by a Polish lady called Danuta who is crazy about antiques (see my room in the extra...)
