Wheelie good day ;-)

We took Emily to Southport for the day today.
The weather was pretty rubbish, very overcast and decidedly windy!!!

Nonetheless we made the most of it.......parked near the pier then walked up it to the carousel.......then along to the Treetops play area, which was quite busy. We walked on to "pleasure land" bought the required card and credits and Emily wore the lanyard around her neck ;-)

She rode the train, the Big Wheel, as seen here, looking rather good in the briefest flash of sunlight, then the ghost train, all with grandad. On to the helterskelter, the trampolines, then the faster caterpillar and ice flow rides on her own.

She won the "camel race" (used to be Horse Racing in my day!!) by throwing the balls into the holes....she chose a purple whale as her prize! She hooked a duck and chose a fluffy yellow emoji with black rimmed glasses and a smiley face........which she dropped on the way back to the car, and the wind picked it up and blew it into the boating lake.......Emily wasn't impressed :-(

We had the obligatory fish and chips for lunch, very nice it was too!

Afterwards we played in the arcades for a while. Emilys' winning tickets converted to two packets of popping candy and a Maoam chew (!!) before walking back to the car.

A good 9000 steps....around 3.5 miles, so not too bad. We got home around 4.30.........Emily immediately rang her mum to tell her all about her day. She then played on her games on her phone for her allowed time ;-) then played on the Wii with grandad for a while, whilst I sorted out her tea :-) which she polished off, as usual :-)

Hub and I will have a sandwich a bit later on I think, not hungry after that lunch :-)
