Sullen Saturday

At our prayer breakfast this morning we were expecting to see one of our wonderful, faithful supporters only to be told that she'd had a massive stroke in the week and was currently in a coma. By the time we'd got home, we had the news that she'd passed away earlier in the morning. So sad and sudden. She was hoping to celebrate her mother's 96th birthday with her on Monday. She'll be very much missed at our monthly gatherings.

I was planning on running a half marathon this afternoon. When I realised that it wasn't going to happen, I planned a walk up a hill. When I realised that even that wasn't going to happen, I spent the afternoon on the sofa. I think I'm getting a cold and it's most inconvenient.

We found some maize flour yesterday and so we've just had a delicious nshima dinner! My first since Zambia! I thought it was magnificent but SS wasn't so pleased and so I was banned from taking photos. Now I have an nshima baby and I'm going to pass out in an nshima heap. Goodnight.
