Before and after

My landlord loves this rose garden and, for most of the year, he has constantly been in it weeding and looking after the roses. However, he hasn't visited once over summer, leading to the huge amount of weeds on the left. I ignored them for quite a while, but they started to kill the roses due to lack of light so I felt like I had to do something. About 5 hours of gardening later and almost all the weeds have gone! I left the weeds right at the back as they are too merged with the rose bushes (and I already had scratches all up my arms), but most of the roses are in the sun now! Now I just need to get rid of 6 bin bags...  

My extra photo is of a beach walk along west sands. I am leaving the flat tomorrow and handing the keys over to my landlord. Although I am hoping to be back in St Andrews for freshers week, this is my final night in my own room and it's quite emotional. I will definitely miss this town!
