Four munros!
I was awake at 8am and was keen to get going on our long walk. However, a sleepy Jonty meant that it took another hour and a half to get out the house. Eventually we arrived at the start of the walk just before midday and set off straight away. It was a very slow start to the walk because we got lost twice and I wasn't feeling great so had to stop more than usual. We stopped to eat lunch at the top of the final false summit of the first munro (we weren't going to stop before the top but it was further away than we had expected).
We reached the top of the first munro very quickly after starting our walk again, and from there the other three munros followed in quick succession. I was having a great time because of all of the flowering plants during the walk. I even manged to find one species of Lathyrus (Heath pea - Lathyrus linifolius), one species of vetch (Common vetch - Vicia sativa) and a carnivorous plant (Common Butterwort - Pinguicula vulgaris)!
The whole walk was really great, although very tiring too! I was exhausted by the final descent and had to have a few stops. Jonty was great and was happy to stop and help, as well as offering to drive home! We then grabbed chinese before eating far too much and collapsing into bed for the night!
