Hiding from the rain

It took a while for me to decide on today's photo as I have quite a few. I started the day by going to the doctors and getting a repeat prescription (taking advantage of Scotland's free prescriptions before I leave) before packing up the car and leaving the flat for the final time. I then went to Dundee to chase up my MRI scan again - they had completely lost any trace of my appointment! I have been assured that I will get a phone call very soon with a date to come back, so I will have to wait and see!

I then started the drive back home, stopping off at the Grey Mare's Tail Nature Reserve in the borders to see the most wonderful waterfall and loch. I finally got back at 6.30pm and had a quick tea before spending the rest of the evening with my dad, aunt, uncle, and gran - which was lovely!

But back to the photo choosing... even with all the scenic views and travelling today, my favourite is definitely of this bumble bee hiding from the rain in a foxglove flower. I presume she was hiding - I know that male solitary bees are known to sleep in flowers like this for shelter, but I have no idea about hiding from the rain! It's a wonderful image anyway :)
