Glasgow in the Sunshine.

Today we took the train to Edinburgh then on to Glasgow and what a beautiful day it was both for the journey and for a wander round George Square.

As the large sign on the extra says "People Make Glasgow" and there were certainly plenty of them enjoying a lunchtime seat in this square surrounded by some lovely buildings and plenty statues.
We always find the people so friendly in this city - the taxi driver we asked for directions to the restaurant where we were meeting our niece for lunch could not have been more helpful.

Lovely lunch and a lovely reason for it - our niece has just passed her final exams to become a vet and I can hand over the baton (or the stethoscope!) to her exactly 44 years after my finals at the Dick Vet in Edinburgh.
