3) Bus to the Strand Palace Hotel
4) Covent Garden - lunch and a wander around the market
5) Bus to Piccadilly Circus
6) Royal Academy of Arts – “Painting the Modern Garden: Monet to Matisse” exhibition
7) Underground to London Bridge
8) View from the Shard – to celebrate Mum’s 80th birthday! Arrived in time to watch the sun set over London, whilst sipping Champagne, and then sat back and marvelled as the city slowly came alight... (Have added way too many extra photos, including one of the Birthday Girl, but it was such a wonderful experience that I took sooooo many photos – this is the shortlist!!)
