Thwarted...

The most gorgeous warm and sunny morning so headed to Dyrham Park, my favourite nearby National Trust property, to get some fresh air and to stretch my legs. Well, that was the plan! And we all know what happens to my plans!!

We decided to go to head out in the morning to beat the crowds, but everybody else must have had the same idea. The whole world and his wife were there! The car park was teeming and even the overflow car park was overflowing so we drove in one end, and straight out the other!!

So as not to waste such a beautiful day, we headed cross country to a farm shop that has a cafe that sells great ice cream. When we arrived at the farm, guess what? It was closed!!

At this point, we gave up on the day and just headed home where I found some cheery Easter Forsythia to try and brighten the day. Such a waste of the warmest day of the year so far...
