Tired return

While we welcome the opportunity of a quick break, the tired looking welcome that greets us on our return, quickly brings us back to reality.
Rather, our daffodils were not simply tired. They were sadly drooping and long past recovery.
Yet, it seems just a short while ago they were giving us a lift for approaching springtime. In fact we have had daffodils indoors for some weeks now, lifting our spirits with the prospect of warmer days and the joys of Spring days not far off.
Off course it would have been surprising had the beauty of the daffodils survived. Even so it was disappointing to watch the beauty disappear before our eyes on security cameras.
Never mind. More from the shop in the morning!
