Taking shape
It’s still a mass of steelwork, yet the vast new Watermark development in Southampton city centre is rapidly taking shape and developers say it is on track for opening later in the year.
The development is an extension of the city’s WestQuay shopping mall and is intended to provide a leisure area alongside the shopping mall and will include 20 restaurants and a ten screen cinema as well as open spaces and a public plaza.
Each time I go by it seems the construction work is taking a fresh complexion, and today was no exception. The installation of four way traffic signals on a roundabout close to the construction site does hamper your journey to the WestQuay car park though.
