Spring Has Sprung

Just when I thought we were doomed to a day of east coast haar with the nearby trees looming menacingly behind a white veil, the sun burnt the mist off and the world became a  sunny cheerful place.

Emboldened by this upping of the stakes, I took the winter overcoat off the bike and went for a spin round the streets. While it was good to remember how to pedal, I was horrified at the state of the roads on my route. The potholes and faulty patching that I complained about last year are just that bit worse  now, and with traffic trying to pass  as you espy a deep hole, it  feels mighty dangerous on two thin wheels.
It will pay to chose my routes through the city very carefully.

My extra blip is the scene outside the window at 8 am
