Seasonal Certainty

When the world that I am familiar with is in danger of being totally dismantled in the near future, then the certainty of the recurring seasons with their predictability brings a welcome stability to my life.

Whatever happens politically, my Hydrangea Petiolaris will continue to break into leaf in March and flourish against the south facing house wall until autumn....... unless of course I wantonly kill it and dig it up.
